45th Athletic Meet
Our 45th Athletic Meet was held at Sham Shui Po Sports Ground on 4 and 5 October 2023. It was a memorable occasion for us. All teachers and students actively and enthusiastically took part on both days despite the scorching weather.
There were over 1000 entries this year, amounting to 20% more than last year. Apart from their keen participation in track and field events, our students strived for their best performance in the inter-house, inter-class and inter-society competitions too. Our House Committees spiced up the scene with creative and beautiful props and decorations, while the cheering teams demonstrated great support for their housemates. The Athletic Meet was not only about competing and winning, but also about sportsmanship, teamwork and diligence which are lifelong virtues to uphold.
Clubs and Societies were invited to wear representative costumes to join the Inter-society Relay with a brief introduction by our English Ambassadors. It was truly spectacular and everyone had a great time.
Our thanks go to Mr Leung Kwok Shing, Executive Director of Hok Yau Club, for joining us as our guest of honor and giving an inspiring speech. Mr Leung was awarded Chief Executive’s Commendation for Community Service in 2022 and is certainly an excellent role model for our students.
