This year’s Inter-class Basketball Competition, meticulously organized by the Student Union, proved to be a smashing success. Students demonstrated not only their commendable basketball prowess but also their unwavering perseverance and exceptional team spirit. The competition generated immense excitement, standing out as a significant highlight and creating joyful, lasting memories for all participants and spectators.
Our students took part in the Eye Level Math Olympiad previously. Organized by Daekyo Hong Kong Company Limited based on an international standard, the contest was designed to challenge students’ mathematics skills in various aspects including problem solving, reasoning, communication and critical thinking. Through the contest, our students were inspired to strive towards higher goals with keener interest in math learning.
After an intense competition, two of our students, 1C Lai Zhitai and 3D Ho Tsz Ying, attained a merit award. Congratulations!
With our outstanding performance at the EMI Drama Fest 2025, our English Musical Team was honored to be invited to perform our original play, Curse of the Wand, at the Fest’s Prize Presentation Ceremony at Wah Yan College, Hong Kong previously.
Delightfully, the play has earned us awards of Outstanding Performance and Outstanding Directing. Special congratulations go to 2A Anna Liu portraying Brianna for winning the Outstanding Performer Award!
Having been invited to perform at the ceremony for the second consecutive year, this incredible recognition demonstrates the passion and hard work of our talented cast, crew, and student directors. With our harvest so far, our team will keep shining on stage!
Our 47th Speech Day, a momentous occasion and a day to celebrate our Form 6 students’ graduation, was held recently with Dr. Loi Ting Shiin Samuel, Chairman of the HKSYCIA, as our Guest of Honour.
A collage as a souvenir presented to Dr. Loi from our graduate representative captures memorable moments on campus. Like sunlight turning our corridors golden, it highlights the beauty of youth and signifies the brilliance of education being a journey filled with laughter and growth.
To enhance the celebratory atmosphere of the ceremony, our Chinese Dance Team gave a poetic dance performance, while our School Choir angelically sang ‘The Music’s Always There With You’, reminding our graduates that even in challenging times, music can offer solace and inspiration. Two of our graduates also performed a heartfelt duet that resonated deeply with the graduating class, receiving thunderous applause from the audience.
Lastly, quoting Dr. Loi’s enlightening keynote address, “Dream big dreams. Possibilities are endless.” We believe our graduates will keep up their courage and colour their future with great visions, moving forward to embrace new milestones ahead while cherishing the enduring bond they share with the school.
Our memorable Treasure Hunt Day transformed the school hall into a vibrant hub of laughter, creativity, and camaraderie, which was just the boost we needed before the commencement of our final exam.
Students and teachers alike embraced the spirit of adventure, teaming up to crack riddles at the booth games where hidden “treasures” turned out to be not just prizes, but moments of connection and lighthearted fun. The air was filled with the soothing scent of lavender essential oils crafted by our budding aromatherapists, while the hall buzzed with laughter over funny photo booth snapshots, heartwarming thank you cards for loved ones, and friendly challenges among peers. Others folded lucky clover origami as tiny tokens of resilience for the exam season.
Everyone savored the sweet conclusion of chilly treats, sharing stories and smiles.
The event reminded us all that even in busy times, joy can be found in simple pleasures like a shared laugh, a creative spark of fun, and the memories made together. With these as the real treasures, a heartfelt thank you goes to every keen participant for enjoying the occasion and our Guidance and Counselling Section for offering such a refreshing pause in the term.
An engaging and interactive “Meet and Greet Small Animals (Reptiles) Session” was conducted recently. Facilitated by a knowledgeable speaker, Mr. Oscar Lai, the introductory discourse enabled our Form Two students to acquire a foundational understanding of various reptilian species. Furthermore, the opportunity for direct engagement with these interesting creatures fostered an enhanced capacity for empathy, not only towards animals but also the broader natural world.
Our Visual Arts Exhibition showcased our students’ outstanding artworks from this academic year, featuring diverse pieces ranging from Eastern and Western media to three-dimensional works demonstrating their technical skills and creative vision.
The event has highlighted our students’ exceptional talent in artistic expressions as well as their schoolmates’ keen support for these young artists’ innovation.
To broaden our students’ horizons and inspire them to plan for their future studies, we recently organized university visits for F.3 and F.5 students to explore the programmes as well as campus life by engaging with the staff and students there.
The first-hand insights into diverse pathways available in higher education well motivated our students to set clear academic and personal goals. We believe such exposure plays a crucial role in helping them make informed decisions, and we will continue to provide opportunities that support their growth and aspirations.
To further enhance our students’ Putonghua proficiency, a special promotion was held after school at our tuck shop recently. Each student speaking three sentences or more in Putonghua upon their purchase was awarded a small gift. This initiative was a great success with their keen participation and all the gifts were given out almost instantly.
