Our Student Unleashing His Talents & Winning a Bronze Medal at 24th Asian Physics Olympiad 2024 as a Hong Kong Representative
The 24th Asian Physics Olympiad was held successfully in Malaysia from 3 June to 10 June. Over 200 contestants from 27 countries and cities took part in the competition. Our distinguished student, Mui Lok Tin Matthew, has represented Hong Kong and won a bronze medal.

Hong Kong School Drama Festival 2023/24
Our performance, Blade of Fatality, for the Hong Kong School Drama Festival was successfully held previously. The cast and crew from our English Drama Club did their best and gave a great show with flying colours.
Well praised by the adjudicators, our team received a number of awards. Under the category of Secondary English, we have reaped the Award for Outstanding Script, Award for Outstanding Performer (for 8 of our cast members), Outstanding Stage Effects, Outstanding Cooperation and Commendable Overall Performance.

2024 6th International Solo & Ensemble Competition (Singapore)
Our student, 5D Fung Ho Hei, took part in 2024 6th International Solo & Ensemble Competition (Singapore) and received an Honorary Gold Award in Amateur Group D Chinese Musical Instrument Solo (Guzheng).
The organizers of the competition, Singapore’s Hitmaker Records and Macau Youth Musicians Association, are committed to cultivating and promoting world-class music talents. With support from players from many countries as well as recognition from industry experts and professors, and recommended by China’s Central Conservatory of Music, the competition has become an important event demonstrating its international influence.
Ho Hei will participate in the Singapore finals in August and join a variety of activities including the prize presentation ceremony, master classes, master concerts, conservation charity talks and more.

EMI Drama Fest
Our English Musical Team was invited to perform their original play, Blade of Fatality, at the EMI Drama Fest’s Prize Presentation Ceremony at HKSC Arts and Culture Centre in late May. Teams from different schools having received an Outstanding Performance Award gathered together and showcased their talents on the occasion.
Overall, our cast and crew have gained priceless experience and built strong friendships all along, cherishing the process as much as the success. In the ceremony, they have also learned a lot from their counterparts from the other award-winning schools.

Financial Planning Competition 2024
Five teams of our Form 4 and Form 5 Economics students recently participated in the Financial Planning Competition 2024 organised by The Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong and supported by HSBC Hong Kong.
In this video-making contest open for all Hong Kong students from Form 3 to Form 5, participants were required to play the role of financial experts, analyse the financial status and goals of the characters in the micro film provided by the organiser, and shoot a video offering feasible suggestions, solutions, or improvement plans.
Prizes were awarded to our students for their outstanding work and teachers for their dedicated and excellent teaching. Details are as follows:

18th Infrastructure Building Competition
In the 18th Infrastructure Building Competition organized by the Hong Kong Construction Association (HKCA), IVE Engineering and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, our students made good use of their Physics knowledge to construct a building model with the given materials. Among the 91 teams participating, two of our three teams successfully passed the static load deflection tests and entered the finals. Their models also well survived the earthquake resistant capacity test and won the first and third runner-up awards in the competition.

Celebrating Students’ Excellence at the 75th Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival (English Section)
We are thrilled with our students’ keen participation in the 75th Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival. A remarkable 254 students from our school took part in this prominent event, showcasing their talents and hard work. We have reached a marvelous merit percentage of 84%.
As for the prizes, our students achieved two second places and three third places, with one of them reaping an Honours Certificate. In addition to the individual awards, our Secondary 1 and 2 Mixed Voice Choral Speaking Team earned a well-deserved third place with their diligent efforts.
While we celebrate the outstanding achievements, our students will continue to have our support and encouragement in a learning environment where they can thrive and reach new heights.

2023-2024 Digital Stock Trading Guru Inter-School Competition
Our F.4 BAFS students recently participated in the Digital Stock Trading Guru Inter-School Competition co-organized by IFEC, the Education Bureau and Hong Kong Association for Business Education, supported by the School of Accounting and Finance of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Digital Stock Trading Guru is a learning tool developed for Secondary 4 to 6 students studying BAFS. It aims to provide them with an enjoyable means of acquiring knowledge in stock investment and financial planning through online simulation games, and to help them develop a better understanding of the significance of adopting the right attitudes towards investment.
Our students achieved the highest overall portfolio values in the Qualifying Round and successfully advanced to the Final Contest.




Hong Kong Professional Dance Competition 2024
Our Chinese Dance and Contemporary Jazz Dance members participated in the Hong Kong Professional Dance Competition 2024 and received Silver Awards in Chinese Dance Open Group and Modern Dance Open Group. Congratulations to the teams for their brilliant performance!
