CUHK’s B.A. Graduate Exhibition ‘Before It Billows Out’ & EDB’s Exhibition of Student Visual Arts Work 2022/23
In June, our F.4 and F.5 VA students visited two exciting art exhibitions, namely CUHK’s B.A. Graduate Exhibition ‘Before It Billows Out’ on June 2 and EDB’s Exhibition of Student Visual Arts Work 2022/23 on June 26.
The visits enabled our students to engage with the broader art community in Hong Kong. They got to see how art can be used to convey different messages and ideas, developing a deeper appreciation for the power of artistic expression.
Students found the activities enjoyable, educational as well as inspiring, and are looking forward to similar opportunities in the future.

4th Staff Development Day with Ms Elsie Leung Oi-sie as our Guest Speaker
Our 4th Staff Development Day this year was held on 9 June 2023. A talk on National Security Education was conducted in the morning, while a sharing session on our open classroom lesson observation along with KLA discussion and reflection was arranged in the afternoon.
Ms Elsie Leung Oi-sie, GBM, JP joined us as our guest speaker of the talk for our teachers’ professional development. With her views and insights, we had an opportunity to explore the importance of National Security Education in today’s complex and ever-changing world. We engaged in a thought-provoking dialogue on the vital role of education in ensuring our nation’s security, and are more than grateful for Ms Leung’s enlightenment.
Open classroom lesson observation, on the other hand, has been one of our major practices this year, involving 12 of our teachers who were invited to open their lessons to colleagues to further foster collaboration and a knowledge-sharing culture in the school. The afternoon sharing session of our Staff Development Day was a good time to connect and look back on what we had learnt from one another’s lessons, offering us a chance to connect, refine our methodologies, and build a vibrant learning and teaching community.

Mr. Wu gave insights on how to motivate teenagers in self-directed learning and offered a variety of strategies. Parents’ feedback was very positive.
