To broaden our students’ horizons and inspire them to plan for their future studies, we recently organized university visits for F.3 and F.5 students to explore the programmes as well as campus life by engaging with the staff and students there.
The first-hand insights into diverse pathways available in higher education well motivated our students to set clear academic and personal goals. We believe such exposure plays a crucial role in helping them make informed decisions, and we will continue to provide opportunities that support their growth and aspirations.
To further enhance our students’ Putonghua proficiency, a special promotion was held after school at our tuck shop recently. Each student speaking three sentences or more in Putonghua upon their purchase was awarded a small gift. This initiative was a great success with their keen participation and all the gifts were given out almost instantly.
In our recent Inter-class Campus Relay Run, participants enjoyed a beautiful afternoon running together and fostering their class spirit. With an aim to promote physical and mental wellbeing as well as further strengthen our school community, the energy and enthusiasm displayed in this event were truly inspiring! Special thanks go to our diligent runners, teachers and student helpers for their dedication making the occasion successful.
Organized by our Chinese Department, our Benevolence Week offered students a unique opportunity to put themselves in senior citizens’ shoes and understand their challenges through a series of interactive activities designed to simulate age-related difficulties.
Navigating the classroom in a blindfold to experience the world without sight
Trying a wheelchair to experience limited mobility and learning how to push one effectively as a carer
Having visited the elderly in Shek Kip Mei, our senior form students described the interactions and shared the insights with their schoolmates about communicating and connecting with older generations.
Teachers from other secondary schools and representatives from the Education Bureau also joined us during the week. Having fostered empathy and raised awareness of elderly care among students and visitors, we hope the compassion for old people’s needs will continue to inspire our acts of kindness towards the elderly in the community.
The Science, Technology, Arts, and Mathematics Key Learning Areas (KLA) co-hosted our STEAM Carnival featuring 10 information and game zones related to technology applications. Students with innovative talents were encouraged to share their projects and use their knowledge to design games and devices, explaining their creative ideas to visiting students of all levels.

Thanks to the very generous subsidy from our school sponsoring body and Education Bureau’s Sister School Scheme, during the Easter holiday, our F.1 students participated in a study tour to Sze Yap to broaden their horizons and experience the culture as well as customs of Sze Yap.
During the trip, they explored various places including Liyuan, Xili Village, Wuyi University, Lee Kum Kee (Xinhui) Food Company Limited, Meijia and Taishan Overseas Chinese Cultural Museum, and more.
To further strengthen connection and professional exchange with Mainland schools, we have formed sister schools with Pei Zheng Middle School and Taishan Overseas Chinese Middle School, which are both renowned for being rich in culture and history.
By visiting Sze Yap, our students have gained a deeper understanding of the history and recent development of our country, fostering their sense of national identity as well as treasured values such as unity, responsibility, resilience, diligence, and compassion.
As part of the Talk@MySchool Programme organized by the Faculty of Science at The University of Hong Kong, our F.4 and F.5 students were invited to attend an engaging science talk aiming at providing insights into the fascinating world of biology and the university’s science programmes.
Delivered by Dr. Wilson Cheuk Wing Chan, the talk titled “Teenage Growth: The Biology Behind Becoming Taller” was an interactive session to discuss how the timing of growth plate closure affects height and debunk common myths about growing taller.
At the conclusion of the talk, Dr. Chan introduced the various degree programmes offered by the HKU Faculty of Science. Students were well inspired and eagerly stayed behind to ask questions.

The performance embodied the themes of “Blue Night” and “People in the Crowd”, showcasing a blend of artistic expression and cultural storytelling.
Our students were deeply inspired by the choreography and emotional resonance of the dances, which highlighted the beauty of movement and intricacies of human connections. This experience not only enriched their understanding of dance but also motivated them to explore new creative avenues in their own performances.
Our Mathematics Club has introduced to students a Math game named Mastermind for them to apply logic and deduction in a fun way. Students had to guess the combination of coloured pins in a correct order with hints provided after each guess. With our Math teachers’ guidance, they learned the tricks to win and were thrilled to outplay their teachers. The game is indeed a great brain teaser!
