Hong Kong Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition 2020-21

5D Lo Wun Yin, 5C Leung Sin Ying and 5C Xiao Qian joined the Hong Kong Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition 2020-21 and won the 1st runner-up. Their project was titled “Trick or Maltose” (甜得有道理). After finding the best conditions to make maltose in a rice cooker, they promoted it to nearly 700 people of various groups through demonstrations, leaflets and YouTube.

Gold Award of the SDG Ambassadorship Action Plan Contest

The United Nations calls for global partnership in achieving the 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) before 2030. They are a shared vision for peace and prosperity of our planet in the near future. Four of our Form 4 Geography and History students who are dedicated to environmental education joined a half-year training programme offered by the Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change. In this programme, students initiated a ‘Climate Action Plan’ for our school to join the community efforts in raising environmental awareness. They received the ‘Gold Award of the SDG Ambassadorship (2020-21)’.

Filming with a TV artist

Awarded the Champion title, our SDG ambassadors were invited to film a video with a local TV artist to share their routine practices in waste reduction and energy saving. The video will be released in several social networking channels.

 Implementing ‘Climate Action Plan’ in the School

On June 18, our SDG ambassadors set up a mobile museum exhibition at the School Hall and the covered playground. They promoted the importance of environmental conservation and lifestyle changes to our students through game-based learning.

The Principal encourages our students to live a more eco-friendly lifestyle.

After knowing how human activities have seriously affected the natural landscape, I was inspired to make changes personally and take action immediately.

Cooperation and participation are needed to fulfill the SDG goals. Even if we just do something small, like recycling and conserving water, we contribute to a better future.

Although we knew the ways of environmental  rotection, hardly do we strive to do all these ‘annoying’ things. After this project, I was encouraged to act now without delay.

F.6 Cheering Day

To encourage F.6 students who are facing challenges from HKDSE before their study leave, teachers, students and parents delivers speeches, and gave cheer up cards and presents to them, wishing them all the best in the exam and a bright future.
