Our Information Day cum Admission Talk was held in December 2023. With a record-breaking attendance of over 1,300 parents and students, the afternoon was filled with excitement and enthusiasm, enjoying a full house.

In our Admission Talk, apart from a school overview and introduction of the SSPA interview arrangements, our students shared their school lives in Wong Tai Shan. Meanwhile, our alumni, currently studying Medicine and Surgery, Law, Actuarial Analysis and Architecture at HKU and CUHK, recounted their success stories. The Q&A session that followed was lively with parents eagerly inquiring further about our school.

Interactive Campus Tour and Displays

After the Admission Talk, visitors explored our 9 display venues. While our sports teams promoted pickleball, an interesting game, our Marching Band and Symphonic Band proudly performed their vibrant tunes. Our Chemistry Magic Shows, on the other hand, amazed audiences with mind-blowing experiments, showcasing our students’ expertise.

Our thanks go to every member of the school working hand in hand in hosting this impressive occasion. The immense togetherness was touching and rewarding.

Our 45^th Speech Day was held recently with Professor Fong Yuk-fai, Associate Dean of Executive Master of Business Administration Program & Executive Education, Academic Direction of EMBA Program, Professor of Economics, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Business School, as our Guest of Honour.

Quoting Professor Fong’s words, “Graduation is not the end of this journey though. Rather, it’s the beginning of a new chapter. Keep pushing and you will achieve your dreams one day.” Let us all look forward to our every milestone ahead.

Our Christmas Show organised by our Student Union, Fantasia, was successfully held on 21 December 2023. With the diligent preparation, the marvellous performances conjured up unforgettable memories for the participants and audience alike. It was definitely a great occasion to savour before the Christmas holiday.

Christmas is a joyous occasion celebrated by people all over the world.

On 18 December 2023, our English Department organized several game booths that added to the festive atmosphere. One was a word search game with hidden Christmas-themed words. Besides, our popular “Flip the Cup” challenge had students answering fun Christmas-related questions to earn points, with topics ranging from trivia about famous holiday movies to historical facts about Christmas traditions around the world. In addition to the games, we had a heartwarming session where students read aloud beautiful Christmas poems, taking turns to share verses capturing the essence of the holiday season. Meanwhile, our choir filled the air with melodious classic Christmas songs, further boosting the festive vibe.

It was a celebration of the jolly spirit with laughter, enjoyment and togetherness.

16 of our elite Chemistry students attended an electroplating workshop organized by The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups on 20 December 2023. Participants had the opportunity to utilize various chemical methods for etching, enabling them to imprint their own creative designs and gain valuable insights into the chemical reactions associated with metals.

A Chinese solo verse speaking appreciation activity was held on 12 December 2023 during lunchtime. It was a great opportunity for participants to showcase their talents and the audience to enjoy the performances. The event was meant to arouse students’ interest and broaden their horizons in this language art.

In light of the Constitution Day on 4 December commemorating the adoption of the Constitution of our country, a series of activities were held during the week with the help of our Basic Law Student Ambassadors. A book exhibition was organized and boards were displayed in our school hall. Together with a Q&A session, the activities were a good opportunity for students to learn about this important day as well as the Basic Law and enhance their sense of national identity.

Our Stars of the Season – Good Deeds Award Scheme aims to recognise students’ contribution to a conducive learning environment and commendable deeds in their daily lives.

With “Responsibility” as our theme this year, we show our appreciation to students who well fulfil their roles in class and offer a helping hand to their teachers and classmates in need, serving as role models for their fellow schoolmates. We advocate responsibility as a quality that we should always bear in mind going hand in hand with self-initiation and self-discipline.

In Phase 1 of the scheme, two exemplary students from each class were awarded. Congratulations!

To promote healthy mental and physical well-being, a Stardust Bottle Workshop was held during lunchtime recently to enable students to gain a better understanding of themselves and the dangers associated with drugs. They created their own personalised stardust bottles with a variety of coloured water beads and decorations.

Our Campus Mental Health Day held on 30 November 2023 was all about creating a cheerful atmosphere through a variety of activities.

Apart from our dedicated counseling prefects’ morning assembly sharing about the significance of positive thinking, booths were set up radiating warmth and bliss, perfect for the winter season. These booths were designed to bring people together and spread joy throughout the campus.

One of the highlights was the opportunity for students to write encouraging messages. We strongly believe that everyone’s words of support and positivity have the power to make a difference in our world. So, grab a pen and share your uplifting thoughts!

With delicious treats of cotton candy and popcorn, students indulged in the sweet and savory delights that brought smiles to their faces.

To add to the festive vibe, we had a special song dedication session. It was a chance for students to immerse themselves in the lovely music that filled the air.

Supporting one another and upholding a positive mindset, we can foster a cohesive and encouraging school community together.
