English Lunchtime Activity – Second Session of Shall We Talk?
Two teachers of ours, Mr Chan and Mr Ng who teach Mathematics and Geography plus History respectively, had an open and frank conversation with students about a variety of topics in our second session of Shall We Talk? which was held successfully on 12 May 2023.
Our keen and cheerful Form 2 students asked about their work, impression of the school as well as their personal ambitions and achievements. Interesting questions included why they chose to teach here, memorable moments in their career, and possible alternative paths they could have pursued. Apart from the extensive responses and positive comments from Mr Chan and Mr Ng, students were also impressed by their advice on overcoming learning obstacles.
With many questions left unasked, the participants wished the thirty-minute session had been longer. We look forward to chatty, interactive gatherings like this for our students to get to know more about their teachers in a lively and relaxing English language context.

Dialogue with Women Chief Executives 2023
Arranged by our Career Guidance and Life Planning Section, some of our Form 4 students attended an inspiring event named Dialogue with Women Chief Executives 2023 jointly organized by the CUHK Business School and Women Chief Executives (WCEs) on 18 April 2023.
Our students were amazed and enlightened by these role models who have managed to break the gender stereotypes and climbed to the top of the corporate ladder. One of them shared a story about how she turned failure into success, and adversity into possibility. Besides, students were encouraged that gender bias should not hold them back and there is more than one path to greatness. The occasion not only broadened students’ horizons, but also facilitated their career goal planning. It is hoped that they will make the most of what they have learnt and work toward their dreams.
