Exploring Marine Life at Ocean Park
The Environment and Ecology Bureau provided 80 of our F.4 and F.5 Geography students with the opportunity to attend an educational course at the Hong Kong Marine Life Stranding and Education Centre in Ocean Park.
They marvelled at the Operation Theatre where urgent surgical procedures are performed on marine species like sea turtles. After washing their hands, they also had the unique experience of touching starfish and sea cucumbers, impressed by their special textures. This programme has deepened our students’ understanding of the marine ecosystem beyond the textbook.
The visit coincided with two of our students’ birthday. Our teachers and the Ocean Park staff gave them a pleasant surprise with a birthday song and cake, making the day more than memorable.
