Talk@MySchool Programme for Biology Students
As part of the Talk@MySchool Programme organized by the Faculty of Science at The University of Hong Kong, our F.4 and F.5 students were invited to attend an engaging science talk aiming at providing insights into the fascinating world of biology and the university’s science programmes.
Delivered by Dr. Wilson Cheuk Wing Chan, the talk titled “Teenage Growth: The Biology Behind Becoming Taller” was an interactive session to discuss how the timing of growth plate closure affects height and debunk common myths about growing taller.
At the conclusion of the talk, Dr. Chan introduced the various degree programmes offered by the HKU Faculty of Science. Students were well inspired and eagerly stayed behind to ask questions.
