Ocean Park hosted the annual “Christmas SING Concert– Jingle All the Way” featuring carefully planned performances by different local groups. In addition to a choir singing heartwarming Christmas tunes, there were live orchestra performances and prominent dancers also joined, sharing a warm Christmas together.
Our School Choir took part in this event to provide students with an opportunity to perform outside school, broaden their horizons, and enhance their performing skills. We shared two positive songs to bring people hope, love, and care. These songs also encouraged perseverance, reminding us that after every storm, beauty and brighter days await.
Before the end of the year, the Student Union organized a Christmas assembly, featuring dance, singing, and a live band. This event aimed to showcase the various talents of our students in a warm, cosy and relaxing atmosphere.
Students and teachers gathered to enjoy the performances, fostering a sense of unity and togetherness. Each act brought positivity and highlighted the creativity within the school community.
As the occasion concluded, the Student Union expressed their heartfelt wishes for a fruitful year ahead, encouraging everyone to embrace the spirit of the Christmas season of love and peace.
Our 50th Anniversary Open Day cum F.1 Information Day was recently held to provide a platform for our students to present to the public interactive subject showcases of different Key Learning Areas and Sections, bringing joy and an immersive experience for over 2,100 visitors and alumni. Parents and children in the community enjoyed our captivating performances and demonstrations, and engaged with us at our Golden Jubilee Garden, VA Room, PTA booth and various receptions manned by our student helpers.
Our Alumni Basketball Competition, a wholesome and exciting event as one of the day’s highlights, was an opportunity for our alumni and teachers to rekindle their lovely school memories.
Our F.1 Admission Talk kicked off with an introduction to our school’s vision and ethos. Our student leaders and alumni then shared their personal journeys and success stories before the Form 1 Discretionary Places interview process was outlined. The talk concluded with a Q&A session.
Grateful for every learning experience offered to our students, we very much cherish this occasion which has been a resounding success thanks to the dedicated efforts of our student helpers, staff, alumni, and parents, whose teamwork beautifully exhibited our school’s vibrant spirit and togetherness.
Our Form 5 Geography students recently conducted a field study at Shek O to deepen their understanding of Hong Kong’s coastal ecosystems. Known for its diverse geological features, Shek O serves as a perfect outdoor classroom for students to observe coastal landforms firsthand. Beyond admiring the breathtaking scenery, students successfully bridged the gap between theory and practice by identifying and analyzing the various coastal processes they had previously learned in the classroom.
To stimulate students’ academic interest in STEAM fields and enhance their core competitiveness in the digital era, our school co-organized a Service Learning Programme with the Department of Mathematics, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU).
Instructors from the HKBU Department of Mathematics led undergraduates to design workshops and serve as tutors, providing our students with an innovative learning experience integrating mathematical theory and digital technology. Besides, with Alibaba Cloud supporting the programme, they visited the Alibaba office in Times Square, Causeway Bay.
Overall, practising what they had learnt through the interactive tasks, our students gained insights into the mathematical concepts essential for the modern digital world, including cryptography, logic gates and PageRank.
From December 1 to 3, our school hosted an exhibition to commemorate the National Constitution Day and National Memorial Day for Nanjing Massacre Victims. Co-organized by our Moral, Civic and National Education Section as well as History and Chinese History Departments, the event focused on the National Constitution and history of the War of Resistance.
On December 4, the commemoration continued with a flag-raising ceremony. Our Principal addressed the school, highlighting the National Constitution Day and 2025 Legislative Council General Election.
Our English Department recently hosted a special cinema outing for newly admitted students, non-Chinese speaking students, and members of the English Drama Club, English Debate Club, and English Ambassadors. The event featured the enchanting musical film Wicked: For Good.
This magical retelling of the untold story of the Witches of Oz explores themes of friendship, identity, and the choices that shape our lives. With breathtaking visuals and powerful performances, the film offers a fresh and thought-provoking take on the beloved classic. It was an inspiring experience for all!
A group of Form 4 and Form 5 students represented our school at the prestigious Model United Nations (MUN) conference hosted by Singapore International School. Stepping into the roles of global diplomats, they engaged in dynamic debates, strategic negotiations, and collaborative problem-solving to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
Over the two-day event, our delegates demonstrated strong research skills, articulate public speaking, and sharp critical thinking as they worked with peers from other schools to craft innovative resolutions. Beyond deepening their understanding of international affairs, the experience honed their leadership and teamwork—qualities that will serve them well in future endeavors. With their dedication, their hard work and passion truly shone through.
