On 2 December 2022, our Form 1 to Form 5 School Picnic was organized to offer students the long-awaited opportunity to hang out with their peers and have fun outside the classroom. Different classes went to different places, like Discovery Bay, Stanley, Tai O, Repulse Bay, Cheung Chau, Butterfly Beach, Cafeteria Beach, Shek O, Wong Shek BBQ Site and Ma Wan. Meanwhile, our Form 6 students enjoyed their Life-wide Learning Day at Ocean Park.
Our club invites teachers and alumni who are food enthusiasts to be our workshop tutors. Through making cuisines, we wish to develop students’ interest and skills in cooking, promote healthy eating, and develop a closer relationship between students and teachers. Language learning elements are also incorporated. Our NET teacher joins us and gives English explanations and demonstrations apart from helping students in creating English recipes.
Good food is to be savoured and so is the great time we spend together.
A Christmas STEM Workshop was held on 19 December 2022. Students applied the principle of simple electric circuits to make their own unique Christmas cards with LED lights and music.
In line with our major concerns in relation to the fostering of reading culture and positive education, the school library and our social workers organized meaningful and fun activities on 28 November 2022. Students shared love and joy by making candles for those in need at the school library, and then they visited the PPO library in San Po Kong, each choosing a book for free as a part of the Book Trip Programme.
The Annual Q & A Session organized by our Student Representative Association was held on 8 December 2022. The Principal, School Management and Student Union answered questions collected from each class as well as impromptu queries from the audience. Students spoke purely in English and expressed their views eloquently.
The occasion served as a channel to facilitate communication and cooperation between the school and the students. We were impressed by students’ keen participation and constructive opinions.

There were more than 1000 visitors joining our Information Day cum Admission Talk on 10 December 2022, which was reported a record high.
Apart from our Admission Talk, with the Principal and Vice Principals sharing our school’s vision and mission as well as our students and alumni detailing their campus life, we had students’ presentations, performances and demonstrations arranged in different display rooms and laboratories for visitors to know our school further.
Teachers’ and students’ hard work could be vividly witnessed by every participant. Every member in WTS played a part and we joined hands to offer support and assistance to one another to make this event successful. Our students, once again, showcased their multiple talents, good manners and competent presentation skills. Guests were well impressed.
It must have been a rewarding experience for every one of us. Christmas is around the corner. With our teamwork and dedication, we deserve a good rest, and let’s look forward to the happy occasion again this time next year!

To broaden students’ horizons in Modern Art and enrich their aesthetic experience, our F.4 Visual Arts students were arranged to visit the Exhibition “Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now” on 30 November 2022. Through the activity, they got to know more about Kusama’s life and work.
There are more than 200 masterpieces in the exhibition, ranging from paintings, drawings, installation artworks to sculptures like Kusama’s signature dotted pumpkins.
Exploring and immersing themselves in her visionary world, our students were impressed by this influential 93-year-old artist who spent her whole life creating artworks, even today.
The trip wrapped up at the Infinity Mirrored Room, which is one of Kusama’s large-scale installation artworks. Students were mesmerized in the boundless world of dots, looking forward to more artistic exposure in the future.
Our F.5 and F.6 VA students will have their turn and visit the exhibition before the Christmas holiday. Kusama’s vibrant colours certainly well echo the joy of the festive season.
Our Homecoming Day was held on 26 November 2022 after our Speech Day as an occasion for our alumni to reunite with teachers and rekindle the precious memories. Various activities were also organized in the school hall and special rooms for them to have fun with their children. As our youngsters grow and prosper in their own fields, they will always be a part of the WTS family. The good old days are never too old in our hearts.
