Art Exhibition 2023-24
Our school’s annual Art Exhibition was held recently as a recognition of students’ artistic talent and creativity. A diverse range of artworks from all levels were displayed, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, and other media. This occasion provided a valuable platform for our student artists to learn from each other in terms of not only aesthetic sense and art techniques but also how innovation is boundless. Meanwhile, teachers and students were encouraged to vote for their favourite artists while exploring the exhibits.
Congratulations to all the students who contributed their fantastic works, and we look forward to the exciting possibilities of next year’s exhibition.






Our Performance at the Inauguration Ceremony of the 38th Board of the Hong Kong Sze Yap Commercial and Industrial Association
On 18 May 2024, our Marching Band, Symphonic Band, School Choir and Chinese Dance Team had an opportunity to showcase their talents and broaden their horizons at the Inauguration Ceremony of the 38th Board of the Hong Kong Sze Yap Commercial and Industrial Association, our School Sponsoring Body. As one of the affiliated schools, we are more than thankful for the privilege of being able to perform on the occasion. Meanwhile, our students’ confidence and brilliance very much make us proud.

















Unleashing our Happiness on “Get-set-go!” Day
As an opportunity for our school members to connect and remind ourselves to embrace joy in the midst of our busy lives, we had a fun afternoon together on our “Get-set-go!” Day. Students and teachers showcased their Mandarin proficiency with tricky tongue twisters, tapped into their creative sides at the handicraft counters, and raised their voices in harmony during the sing-along session. Laughter and delight filled the air.

The highlight of the event was the sweet surprise of free ice cream for all! It was a perfect treat on a hot day for everyone to savour the cheerful vibe.

Form 3 University Visit
Our Form 3 students recently had the opportunity to explore The University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Hong Kong Baptist University, broadening their horizons. They were excited to venture beyond the familiar boundaries of our school and immerse themselves in the diverse learning environments of these renowned institutions.
At HKU, our students enjoyed the in-depth seminars on the Global and Area Studies program as well as the intersection of humanities and digital technologies. At CUHK, they gained a deeper understanding of the university’s general admission process, whereas at HKBU, they learned about their prestigious programs.
Experiencing the vibrant and unique campus atmosphere, our students had their curiosity ignited. They were inspired to consider the vast array of educational possibilities that lie ahead and empowered to make informed decisions about their future academic paths.




STEM Carnival 2023-24
Our STEM Carnival held in early May was coordinated by our Science, Technology, Art and Mathematics KLA. Through the eleven diverse information and game zones related to technology applications, our students with STEM talents had the opportunity to utilize their knowledge to design games and devices as well as explain their innovative ideas to their fellow schoolmates, exploring and sharing their research results.
This year, the event was co-organized with the Government’s Planning Department, Hong Kong Baptist University, and The University of Science and Technology. With a total number of participants exceeding 400, the carnival enjoyed a much vivid vibe.
Some highlights are as follows:
Hong Kong Baptist University’s Chinese Medicine Exhibition
The origins and classification of Chinese herbal medicines as well as the relationship between Chinese medicines and chemistry were introduced. The exhibition also included a complimentary Chinese herbal tea tasting session.
Robotics Zone
Engineering students from the University of Science and Technology were on hand to explain the robotics exhibits and demonstrate the underlying programming concepts.
Sports x STEM: Reaction Light Game
It was a fun interactive game allowing participants to explore the scientific principles behind reaction time and lighting systems.

2023-2024 PTA – Meal Box Distribution with Ming Gor
As a collaboration with Ming Gor, the renowned benevolent restaurant owner from Sham Shui Po known for offering free meals to the poor, our meal box distribution event aimed to promote values education with students putting into practice the virtues of care and empathy through community service, thereby cultivating their sense of compassion for the needy. Meanwhile, doing volunteer work together, students and parents have also built stronger bonds.

Counselling Training Day Camp
Our Counselling Prefects recently participated in a dynamic training day camp meant to foster their team spirit and unity. Having engaged in the outdoor cooking session and boat-building challenge, they well experienced success through teamwork. They have honed their communication and problem-solving skills in the process, emerging as a stronger and more cohesive team.






Cantonese Opera Class
In line with the “Enhanced My Pledge to Act Funding Programme” of Quality Education Fund, our school’s Moral, Civic and National Education Section has collaborated with the Music Department to offer our students a Cantonese opera training class.
The training extends arts learning and allows students to sing and experience Xiqu and traditional Chinese culture in a stimulating, inter-disciplinary way as well as to get a taste of well-designed opera performances. Through the coach’s in-depth explanations in simple terms and a series of demonstrations together with newly compiled short plays and interactive sessions, our students have better grasped the Chinese cultural values conveyed in opera stories, which helps cultivate positive education.









Planning Department Outreach Programme 2023-24
With the Planning Department offering us an Outreach Programme for the third year, a Mobile Exhibition Centre was stationed at our school from 9 May to 10 May 2024 under the collaboration of our STEM and Geography Departments. Our students actively participated in the lightning rounds of Q & A and were intrigued by the simulation models related to recent urban design and placemaking strategies in Hong Kong.
A total of 20 exhibition boards were also displayed at our school hall, where students eagerly filled out their question sheets. Those having given at least 6 out of 8 correct answers could get a prize.
On the second day of the programme, Mr. Adrian Chiu, Town Planner from the Planning Department, gave a talk sharing his insights on ‘Planning for Northern Metropolis’ and his career mapping as a town planner. Our Principal, Ms. Chiu, presented a souvenir to Mr. Chiu as a token of appreciation for the Planning Department’s continuous support for our school over the past few years.






JA Meet My Goals Mentorship Program
Our F.3, F.4 and F.5 BAFS and Economics students recently completed the JA Meet My Goals Mentorship Program organized by Junior Achievement Hong Kong (JA HK) and sponsored by Bank of New York Mellon (BNY Mellon). Participating in regular workshops and mentorship meetings with business volunteers from BNY Mellon focusing on financial as well as career and life planning education, our students were guided to set a saving target with the program offering a 1:1 matching fund, amounting to HK$1,000 per participant at most.
Our students have strengthened their saving habit to better plan and prepare for their future. The program has also enhanced their financial mindset and equipped them with the essential money management skills.
