Sustainable School Outreach Programme – Drama, Mobile Exhibition and School Talk
First Phase (11 November 2022)
The Council of Sustainable Development under the Government’s Environment and Ecology Bureau offered our Geography Department an outreach programme. The Council arranged Theatre In the Dark, a social enterprise in Hong Kong, to perform at our school a drama on ecological preservation.

Learning ecological concepts of food chains through drama appreciation
Second Phase (9 & 10 March 2023)
The Government’s Planning Department organized a mobile exhibition and school talk for our Form 1 to Form 5 students to enhance their knowledge of urban design and planning in Hong Kong.

A Mobile Exhibition Centre was stationed at our school from 9 March to 10 March 2023.

Our students actively participated in the lightning rounds of Q & A related to urban planning in Hong Kong

A total of 20 exhibition boards were displayed at our school hall.

Ms. Cheryl Yeung, Assistant Town Planner from the Planning Department, gave insights on ‘Urban Design in Hong Kong’ and her career mapping to be a town planner.
Ms Yeung, on behalf of the Government’s Planning Department, presented a Certificate of Appreciation to our school.
Third Phase (30 June 2023)
The Government’s Environmental Protection Department will arrange a site visit at the O·PARK1 (Organic Resources Recovery Centre Phase 1). Selected students from Form 1 to Form 5 will have a chance to know more about source-separated food waste treatment.
3rd Staff Development Day
Our 3rd Staff Development Day of this academic year was held on 23 March 2023. With a theme on team building, our teachers took a break from their busy work and enjoyed an escape game and a visit to Hong Kong Palace Museum. They had a good time solving problems together and strolling through the treasures in Chinese history. It was an impeccable afternoon where bonds were strengthened through their working for a way out as a cohesive team and exploring the enchanting past as buddies.




Easter Egg Hunt
Our Easter Egg Hunt organized by the English Department was held on 22 March 2023 for all students especially junior formers. They had a blast searching for colourful eggs hidden throughout the campus. The eggs were filled with letter tiles to be rearranged into words, with a chocolate Easter egg as the prize for task completion.
The hunt was not only a fun and intriguing activity, but also a great opportunity for students to celebrate the festival together on campus. It was a wonderful way to spread joy and bliss.




Form 6 Cheering Day
After years of hard work and dedication, our Form 6 students are entering the final phase of their secondary education. Upon this milestone, a cheering session was organized on 10 March 2023, with students’ sharing as well as inspirational speeches and words of encouragement from our Principal and teachers. We also prepared some souvenirs as a token of our loving support, reminding our students to stay positive, energetic and diligent amid the upcoming HKDSE.
We wish our graduates every success. We always have your back!









English Riddle Quiz
An English Riddle Quiz was held in mid-March. Both students and non-English teachers participated in this exciting activity, showcasing their knowledge of English language and their wits in solving tricky riddles. The quiz was held in a competitive but warm atmosphere at lunchtime, with participants eagerly trying to outdo each other and win the game.
The quiz was a great opportunity for everyone to exercise their intelligence, have fun and savour the vibe and joy of the language experience.

Form 3 Personality Dimensions Workshop
Shamshuipo West Happy Teens Club of Hong Kong Christian Service was invited by our Guidance and Counselling Section to conduct a Personality Dimensions Workshop for our students on 25 February and 4 March 2023. The activity aimed to help our students get a better understanding of themselves, thereby empowering them to be more aware of their possible paths, make appropriate choices and work towards their goals accordingly, as well as handle matters by making better use of their own strengths.





Chemistry STEM workshops
Some of our Form 5 and Form 4 Chemistry students participated in a silver restoration workshop and a gold-electroplating workshop organized by our Chemistry Department and Chow Sang Sang Precious Metal Laboratory on 17 and 24 February 2023 respectively. They applied and integrated their knowledge of metal corrosion and electroplating to tackle corrosion problems in silver jewellery and make their own gold-plated crafts.

Bookstand Design Competition
Our Visual Arts Department and school library co-organized a bookstand design competition to encourage students to unleash their innovation and create practical and beautiful bookstands to enhance the reading experience. With an interdisciplinary nature, the activity required students to adopt the user’s perspective, applying both engineering and aesthetic concepts, and make use of eco-friendly materials to improve the durability of their products.
Our Form 1 students showed their creativity through their unique artworks, which will be displayed in the library for all to enjoy. Congratulations to the winners!







Joint School Team Building Day Camp
The Education Bureau and Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service held a Joint School Team Building Day Camp on 28 February 2023 at Po Leung Kuk Pak Tam Chung Holiday Camp for our counselling prefects acting as peer leaders to boost students’ awareness and understanding of mental health. Upon completion of the gatekeeper training, it is hoped that our peer leaders are equipped with skills to organise different kinds of school-based mental health promotional activities.









Parent Education Bookstall cum PTA Parent Education Book Loan Service
In order to promote parent education and self-advancement, the PTA collaborated with the school’s Guidance & Counselling Section and the library to set up a Parent Education Bookstall on Parents’ Day (26 February 2023). The activity was well received and nearly 60 books were borrowed.
