Read-Cycling and Volunteer Service
In line with our major concerns in relation to the fostering of reading culture and positive education, the school library and our social workers organized meaningful and fun activities on 28 November 2022. Students shared love and joy by making candles for those in need at the school library, and then they visited the PPO library in San Po Kong, each choosing a book for free as a part of the Book Trip Programme.

Annual Q & A Session
The Annual Q & A Session organized by our Student Representative Association was held on 8 December 2022. The Principal, School Management and Student Union answered questions collected from each class as well as impromptu queries from the audience. Students spoke purely in English and expressed their views eloquently.
The occasion served as a channel to facilitate communication and cooperation between the school and the students. We were impressed by students’ keen participation and constructive opinions.

Our Information Day Enjoying a Full House
There were more than 1000 visitors joining our Information Day cum Admission Talk on 10 December 2022, which was reported a record high.
Apart from our Admission Talk, with the Principal and Vice Principals sharing our school’s vision and mission as well as our students and alumni detailing their campus life, we had students’ presentations, performances and demonstrations arranged in different display rooms and laboratories for visitors to know our school further.
Teachers’ and students’ hard work could be vividly witnessed by every participant. Every member in WTS played a part and we joined hands to offer support and assistance to one another to make this event successful. Our students, once again, showcased their multiple talents, good manners and competent presentation skills. Guests were well impressed.
It must have been a rewarding experience for every one of us. Christmas is around the corner. With our teamwork and dedication, we deserve a good rest, and let’s look forward to the happy occasion again this time next year!

Visiting M+ Exhibition “Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now”
To broaden students’ horizons in Modern Art and enrich their aesthetic experience, our F.4 Visual Arts students were arranged to visit the Exhibition “Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now” on 30 November 2022. Through the activity, they got to know more about Kusama’s life and work.
There are more than 200 masterpieces in the exhibition, ranging from paintings, drawings, installation artworks to sculptures like Kusama’s signature dotted pumpkins.
Exploring and immersing themselves in her visionary world, our students were impressed by this influential 93-year-old artist who spent her whole life creating artworks, even today.
The trip wrapped up at the Infinity Mirrored Room, which is one of Kusama’s large-scale installation artworks. Students were mesmerized in the boundless world of dots, looking forward to more artistic exposure in the future.
Our F.5 and F.6 VA students will have their turn and visit the exhibition before the Christmas holiday. Kusama’s vibrant colours certainly well echo the joy of the festive season.

Homecoming Day
Our Homecoming Day was held on 26 November 2022 after our Speech Day as an occasion for our alumni to reunite with teachers and rekindle the precious memories. Various activities were also organized in the school hall and special rooms for them to have fun with their children. As our youngsters grow and prosper in their own fields, they will always be a part of the WTS family. The good old days are never too old in our hearts.

44th Speech Day
Our 44th Speech Day was held on 26 November 2022 at our School Hall, with Prof. HO Man Wui Richard, Honorary Professor at Department of Chinese Language and Literature of CUHK, as our Guest of Honour. Graduation marks the end of the secondary school life and a new stage of the life journey. May all of us have our dreams actualized in the future.

Alumni Sharing Day
To enrich students’ knowledge of life planning and help them better understand different career pathways, 29 alumni from various fields were invited to share the job requirements and prospects of their professions with our Form 5 and Form 6 students on 5 November 2022. Our students were inspired and found it an invaluable experience. Our thanks go to our alumni for taking the time to come back and supporting the school all the same even after graduation.
Aquatic Meet
Our Aquatic Meet was held at Kowloon Park Swimming Pool on 16 November 2022. It was a particularly memorable occasion for us as the event had been suspended for a few years due to the pandemic. Students joined the individual and relay events representing their houses and classes. While our house committees decorated the stands with creative props, the cheering teams showed great support to their housemates with their chants.
Eight fellow schools joined our Inter-school Invitation Relay, hyping up the atmosphere. Their keen participation and brilliant performance are very much appreciated. Our thanks also go to Miss Tam Hoi Lam, a member of Hong Kong Swimming Team having taken part in 2020 Summer Olympics (4 × 100 metres Freestyle Relay, Women), for being our guest of honor and giving an inspiring speech.
The results are as follows:
| Overall Champion | Blue House |
| Boys Overall Champion | Red House |
| Girls Overall Champion | Green House |
| Inter-house Cheering Team Competition Champion | Red house |
Congratulations to all the awardees!
Halloween Activities
Thanks to the support of students and teachers, our Halloween Week was held successfully despite Tropical Storm Nalgae. “Horror Escape Game” and “Cos in Halloween” were held by the Student Union, and we have seen students’ frightened yet delighted faces.
The English Department also arranged a fun chat with students during recess on Halloween Day. Our NET teacher, along with our English Ambassadors, dressed up in costumes and gave candies to students who joined the chat and tried the tongue twisters.
We are glad that students had a good time and earned some unforgettable memories. We look forward to more fun this time next year!

During the event, the former House Leaders and Student Union President shared their experience and encouraged the successors to realize their potentials and continue the legacies.

All new leaders and committee members took the oath, marking the official beginning of their duties and contributions to WTSMC. Our Principal, Ms. Chiu, gave a speech to acknowledge their effort in making our school a better learning community.
