Cantonese Opera Class

In line with the “Enhanced My Pledge to Act Funding Programme” of Quality Education Fund, our school’s Moral, Civic and National Education Section has collaborated with the Music Department to offer our students a Cantonese opera training class.

The training extends arts learning and allows students to sing and experience Xiqu and traditional Chinese culture in a stimulating, inter-disciplinary way as well as to get a taste of well-designed opera performances. Through the coach’s in-depth explanations in simple terms and a series of demonstrations together with newly compiled short plays and interactive sessions, our students have better grasped the Chinese cultural values ​​​​conveyed in opera stories, which helps cultivate positive education.
