STEM Carnival 2023-24
Our STEM Carnival held in early May was coordinated by our Science, Technology, Art and Mathematics KLA. Through the eleven diverse information and game zones related to technology applications, our students with STEM talents had the opportunity to utilize their knowledge to design games and devices as well as explain their innovative ideas to their fellow schoolmates, exploring and sharing their research results.
This year, the event was co-organized with the Government’s Planning Department, Hong Kong Baptist University, and The University of Science and Technology. With a total number of participants exceeding 400, the carnival enjoyed a much vivid vibe.
Some highlights are as follows:
Hong Kong Baptist University’s Chinese Medicine Exhibition
The origins and classification of Chinese herbal medicines as well as the relationship between Chinese medicines and chemistry were introduced. The exhibition also included a complimentary Chinese herbal tea tasting session.
Robotics Zone
Engineering students from the University of Science and Technology were on hand to explain the robotics exhibits and demonstrate the underlying programming concepts.
