Geography Field Studies in Cheung Chau and Central

The Caritas Chan Chun Ha Field Studies Centre offered us two field study courses to enhance our senior form Geography students’ knowledge in conducting fieldwork and to prepare them for the fieldwork-based questions (FBQ) in the HKDSE.

Our Form 5 students explored the microclimate of Central Business District (CBD), examining how the urban landscape impacts it, and validated their hypotheses through a series of on-site measurements.

Our Form 4 students, on the other hand, investigated the urban housing and environmental problems in Cheung Chau through site observations and surveys. They enjoyed a fulfilling day in the atmosphere of New Year’s Eve and were warmly received by the local residents during their research activities.
