Unveiling the Science Behind Traditional Chinese Medicine: A Special Talk for F4-5 Chemistry and Biology Students

To provide students with insights into the knowledge of Chemistry and Biology in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), we were pleased to have invited the representative from the Centre for Chinese Medicine R&D at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology to introduce the current challenges of TCM, such as confusing names, authenticity, quality variability, and safety. In the talk, students learned how knowledge of Biology and Chemistry could be applied to solve these problems.
