Reality Meets Imagination: The Fairy Tale Debate

Our students recently engaged in a captivating debate performance at lunchtime. Our Chinese debate team immersed themselves and the audience in a battle of wits over whether parents should tell children that fairy tales are not real. The speakers delivered sharp arguments with confidence and eloquence, skilfully balancing logical reasoning with touches of humour to explore the dilemma between nurturing imagination and preparing young minds for reality.

The event was a great opportunity for students to practise critical thinking, respectful rebuttal, and public speaking with poise. Both the proposition and opposition teams impressed the audience with their teamwork and intellectual depth. Overall, it was a wonderful display of our school’s commitment to holistic education and thoughtful discourse.
