Festive Dumplings Workshop

It is a long-standing tradition that people eat fish at Chinese New Year. In Cantonese, ‘fish’ [yu] is homophonic with ‘ample’ [yu] meaning more than enough. Meanwhile, dumplings are an indispensable dish symbolizing ‘a happy reunion’ and ‘good luck’.

Our PTA engaged students and parents in making fish-shaped steamed dumplings on the school’s Chinese Cultural Day, fostering mutual appreciation and a close family rapport.
