‘Best Future Museum Curators’ Award
Eight of our F.5 Geography and Science students participated in a one-year community project entitled the ‘ECF Mobilizing Community Climate Action by Future Museum Curators’ co-organized by the Environmental Campaign Committee and the Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change.
The students set up an online exhibition named ‘MegaHeat’ (https://www.mocc.cuhk.edu.hk/zh-tw/ecffmc-school-virtual-gallery ). After deliberation by the university’s professional judges and a public vote, they received the ‘Best Future Museum Curators’ Bronze Award and were invited to attend the award presentation ceremony on 13 October 2022.

Guzheng Solo Champion and Gold Award
Our student, 4D Fung Ho Hei, participated in Hong Kong Intercultural Young Musicians Competition 2022 and won the champion title in Senior Group (Age 15 or below) – Guzheng Solo. The IYMC aims to offer an international stage for all musicians to communicate and develop further through holding concerts, masterclasses, forums, lectures, and competitions at regular intervals. The competition brings together renowned musicians from around the world, along with a wide range of institutions of music education, in the hope of promoting the development of music, culture and arts in various countries, especially in Asia.
Ho Hei also joined the 10th Hong Kong Schools Dance & Music Festival 2022 and received the Gold Award in Secondary Group (Age 12-17) – Guzheng Solo. The competition is committed to the promotion and dissemination of the culture of gratitude through music, dance, culture and art.

HKSSF Inter-school Swimming Competition
The Inter-school Swimming Competition (D3K2) organized by the HKSSF was held at Kowloon Park Swimming Pool on September 30 and October 14. We are delighted with our students’ outstanding performance. The awards are as follows.

Music@e-Contest
Our student, 2C Yip King Him, participated in the e-Contest coordinated by the Joint School Music Association and received a Distinction Award in the Piano Solo Group of Age 12-14. Being a European-based competition, e-Contest is a truly international online music platform currently garnering the biggest number of contestants. Until 2020, more than 1,800 participants from more than 50 countries and regions joined the contest. Meanwhile, the adjudicators are also from different corners of the world. Congratulations to King Him!

Hong Kong Joint School Music Competition (2022)
Our school choir received the Bronze Award in the group of Secondary School Choir (Junior) of Hong Kong Joint School Music Competition in September 2022. The competition has been organized by Joint School Music Association since 2008. It provides a fair, equitable and open music platform for local students, aiming to encourage them to effectively use their skills in music to express their feelings and improve their quality of singing and performance.

24th Hong Kong Youth Science & Technology Innovation Competition
The “Hong Kong Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition” is a prominent academic science event in Hong Kong, with categories of entries including science fiction, inventions, research papers, STEM activities, and more.
Our students, Lau Ka Hei, Wong Chung Man and Zeng Ying from 4A (of school year 2021-2022), won 2nd Prize with their project in Senior Secondary Chemistry and Materials.

Our awardees’ innovation – U-trap drainage detecting device
The All Hong Kong Schools Jing Ying Athletics (Team) Tournament 2021-2022
The All Hong Kong Schools Jing Ying Athletics (Team) Tournament organized by the HKSSF was held at Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground on 6 August 2022. Our school was invited to take part in the tournament as one of the qualified teams. The tournament is one of the top inter-school sports competitions in Hong Kong. Only the winners of the overall prizes in Inter-School Athletics Competition are entitled to join. Our student, 5B Chen Man Ka, got the first runner-up in discus among the top athletes. She has achieved her personal best distance, 29.69m, in the competition. Congratulations to Man Ka!
