PTA Parents’ Talk & Tea Gathering
Our PTA is dedicated to promoting healthy, happy and balanced growth and development among young people. We invited Mr. Elvis Ng, senior project manager and social worker of Healthy Net, Hong Kong Western Service Centre, to conduct a parents’ talk on ways to deal with the knotty problem of teenage internet addiction.
After the talk, we had a tea gathering as an opportunity for parents’ mutual learning and support, as well as interaction with our Principal, Vice Principal, and teachers.

Gratitude Day: A Heartfelt Celebration of Appreciation
Our Gratitude Day has been a joyful celebration dedicated to honoring those having enriched our lives and the blessings we often overlook. The event was a vibrant tapestry of gratefulness, connection, mental wellbeing, and creativity.

During the lunchbreak, students and teachers filled our school hall with excitement as they had a great time at a variety of engaging booths. Many embraced their artistic sides by crafting beautiful gifts and tokens of appreciation for their loved ones. Meanwhile, others dove into fun activities that promoted emotional awareness and encouraged better care for their wellbeing.
A highlight of the day was the Gratitude Wall, where participants shared uplifting messages of thanks. This colorful display served as a powerful reminder of the love, support and positivity within our community.

We believe that happiness comes from gratitude, and our Gratitude Day not only allowed us to express our thankfulness but also strengthened the connections among students and teachers.
Alumni Sharing Day
To enrich students’ knowledge of life planning for further studies and help them better understand different career pathways, an Alumni Sharing Day is arranged for our Form 5 and 6 students every two years. This year, around 30 alumni from different fields were invited to share their experience, the job requirements and career prospects with our students and parents.
Our alumni’s dedication and insights are much appreciated. Besides, the reunion with their teachers at the occasion is well treasured.

Spooktacular Halloween Celebration
Halloween Fun Day was a spooktacular event organized by the English Department. Both students and teachers donned their most creative costumes and participated in the festivities. Held during lunchtime, the event featured fun-filled games and trick-or-treating at four exciting booths strategically placed around the campus.
Students teamed up with friends to uncover hidden clues, which led them to partake in thrilling activities such as Halloween bowling and bean bag throw challenges. Additionally, they delved into tongue twisters, poems, and word search games while engaging in delightful conversations with teachers. By giving their best at the game booths, students earned well-deserved treats.

Meanwhile, our Student Union hosted a Halloween Escape Game after school. Students formed groups to overcome various challenges using the provided items to escape.

These activities not only generated laughter and excitement but also cultivated a lively atmosphere, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie among students.
STEM Workshop
A STEM Workshop was organized by our school library as part of our STEM Reading Promotion.
Our guest speaker, Mr. M.H. Ultimately, adopting a step-by-step approach, he instructed our students to construct an electromagnetic gyroscope. They successfully assembled the desired device and were thrilled.

2024-2025 Alumni Mentorship Scheme
WTSMC has been established for nearly 50 years, and our alumni have long continued their keen contribution to the school. In light of this heartwarming tradition, we have launched a year-round Alumni Mentorship Scheme to help students explore different occupations, facilitate their career planning and provide opportunities for them to build connections and learn from the alumni’s inspiring life stories.
This year, a group of alumni from various fields, including medical, engineering, disciplined services, as well as banking and finance, have joined this program. In our kickoff ceremony held on 28 September 2024 (Saturday), mentees met their mentors for the first time and got to know each other, marking the beginning of this year’s program. We hope this initiative will motivate students and provide them with valuable guidance for their future. In the upcoming months, our mentees will learn from the alumni’s experience through a series of meet-ups and workplace visits.
